Magic was certainly in the air during the recent Magical Mystery Shopping bus contest.

Lucky winners, chosen by the Toronto Sun and Citytv's Breakfast Television, boarded luxury Coach Canada buses to shop 'til they dropped. We bypassed long lineups and were treated like royalty at every warehouse sale we dropped in on. There was plenty of laughter and many friendships cemented. And that's what makes this contest so special — meeting new friends and the people behind the sales.

From the ever gregarious Joel Clarridge of Real Deals, to the dashing Lou Bellotti and his trusty sidekick Nancy of Clearance Warehouse, the awesome folks at Ashley the delicious gang at Wildly Delicious, our friends at the Ganz sale, and of course Mr. B (Michael Belvedere Sr.) and the whole "B" clan, we all shared in the spirit in the holiday season.

New this year was the incredible Lisa's Cosmetics and Fragrances in Markham — a major hit with the winners!

The Magical Mystery contest also showed just how awesome our readers and viewers are — everyone made this contest special, and we made memories to last a lifetime (not to mention the money we all saved for the season).

The contest would not have been the success it was had it not been for the wonderful help of the BT team, the good folks from Coach Canada and their fabulous bus drivers — the incredible Shawn Purcell and Bob Kocanovic. Golden Griddle always rises to the occasion with an excellent breakfast, plus Longo's handed out the most impressive and delicious lunch.

Other great folks who helped make this the best contest ever include Active Green and Ross, and kudos to Fruits and Passion, Pizzaville, Tim Horton's, Dyson, The Body Shop, M&M Meat Shops, Clover Leaf Tuna, Barilla Pasta, Elextrolux, Eureka, St. Louis Bar and Grill, The President's Choice brand, Reckitt Benckiser brands Lysol, VEET, Resolve and FINISH — the list is endless for the generous gifts we received.

A simple thank you just does not suffice.

All in all? Just wait 'til you see what we have planned for next year!
